This is definitely one to keep and re-read at least once a year. We all want to be "good" parents, but it's hard to define that. This article articulates what it takes to be a "strong" parent. Strong parents know the right thing to do and they do it--sometimes with consequences that in the moment seem painful. But strong parents know that keeping sight of the big picture--of what our parenting goals are for the long haul--is what's most important.
