Enrollment and Scheduling
The admissions policy of Aldea Montessori is based on the educational concepts of Dr. Maria Montessori. We strive to serve a broad range of socioeconomic, religious, cultural, racial and ability groups. In keeping with our philosophy of serving the best interest of the children, all admissions are on a trial basis with specific trial periods and evaluation procedures established as needed.
Our Enrollment Procedure consists of three parts. Prospective families should schedule a tour to visit the school and learn more about each program. If after a tour they still wish to pursue enrollment, the parents observe in the classroom to determine if the environment matches their desired educational goals. Finally, an interview is scheduled to allow the child to meet one-on-one with the potential teacher. Contact us for more information about enrolling your child.
Tuition and Fees for the 2015-2016 school year are determined by hours and payment plan selected. The school reserves the right to change rate and hours as necessary.
Classroom hours vary by program, as follows:
Toddler House students attend two, three, four or five days per week from 8:45 until 11:45 a.m. A child may begin at two days and gradually move to more days at the pace best suited for the child and family. Which two or three days the child attends is flexible, again based on family needs. The goal is to eventually have your child attending five days a week for consistency. Extended care from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. is available at an additional cost.
All students in the Casa program attend school five days per week, starting at 8:30am. Children under the age of five are dismissed at noon, while those five and older complete the day at 3:00pm.
Extended care is available from 7:30 am until 8:15 a.m. and from 12 noon until 5:30 p.m. for students in the primary program. There is an additional fee for extended care, which is billed at the end of the month.
